The innovation challenge was designed to come up with new ideas on how to advance the resiliency of the country’s grid network.
Energy stakeholders, academia and other innovators for technologies or solutions submitted their ideas to address existing or emerging vulnerabilities in cybersecurity threats to the electric sector or to mitigate interdependencies between the electricity sector and other sectors.
The Department of Energy is awarding more than $300,000 to seven winning submissions in two tiers.
